Well, I ordered on plushrugs.com and was a little disappointed when the first rug I purchased was on back order even though it says two were in stock. I immediately called customer service and they refunded my order bc i didn't want to wait six months for that rug. I was a little upset, but they made it up to me. They were very helpful and sincere, and then I got back on their site a few days later and found this rug. I decided I liked it better then the other one. This time I called to confirm it wasn't on back order and then ordered over the phone. Was impressed with the delivery..they got it shipped the next day, rather than the two day promised. I really love my new rug and I think I would shop here again.

what is a tufted weave and is wool the best material..?

Rachel with PlushRugs.com

Hi Abbey. This Dalyn rug from the Tones collection has a tufted weave, which means that the rug maker uses a "tufting gun" to push the yarns through the backing. When the rug design is fully piled, it is removed from the frame and a scrim fabric is glued to the back of the rug. The scrim backing helps to hold the fiber pile in its place.
Wool is the most commonly used natural fiber in rug production, and it is made from the fibers from sheep. It has its advantages and disadvantages, like any material. Wool rugs tend to shed initially, especially within the first month, and then they subside after a while. Wool is extraordinarily resilient and takes dyes very well. It also has excellent longevity. Wool does require more maintenance than synthetic fibers, and when wet, it can emit an animal-like odor. With simple maintenance and upkeep, wool should last a long time.
Please let us know if you have any other questions.
