Owen Jones, ornamentalist and architect, is the inspiration of the Archive collection. His book, The Grammar of Chinese Ornament, shows patterns and artwork from ancient Chinese cultures and is displayed in the Smithsonian Institution Library's Special Collection. The color palettes and designs depicted in this book make for a rug collection that balances tradition and contemporary design incredibly well.
I saw this rug on a few blogs and thought it would be perfect in my little girl's room. However, the ivory is not ivory and more of a khaki/natural color. I am looking for something more bright and cheerful vs. rustic looking. It's a very nice rug, just not what I am looking for/was expecting.
i bought this rug about six months ago and use it right inside my front door so i love the fact that its reversible
