The distinctive designs in the Adana collection are reminiscent of the rugs that were produced in Turkish villages during the 16th and 17th centuries. The goal of this collection was to stay true to the same symmetrical knots used in those time tested rugs from Turkey. Because these rugs are hand-knotted in India, they are what you would call Indo-Turkish rugs. These rugs were made famous by their tribal, geometric, and cultural designs. With semi-worsted New Zealand wool and chrome dyed yarns, you can rest assured that the colors will be vibrant and last.
The pictures on this site are remarkable and accurate to the true color of the rug. I got this rug two days ago and actually held it up against the computer to compare it. Very impressive. Not only that, but the shipping was actually early (took only five days)...I can't think of anything negative/bad to say about plush rugs.
Overall a very rewarding shopping experience. The price was more than fair, the quality of the rug was outstanding and the shipping and delivery were very timely - despite being over the Christmas Holiday.
I have owned many different rugs. I have owned wool, cotton, polypropylene, and polyester rugs. I fell in love with the design of this rug and the colors were perfect for my decor. When i began redecorating my apartment, i decided to go all out and get this hand knotted NZ wool rug. I remember thinking "how much better could it be than the other wool rugs i had owned"? Let me tell you, this rug is by far the highest quality rug i have ever owned and certainly the softest.
