what is a tufted weave and is wool the best material..?

Hi Abbey. This Dalyn rug from the Tones collection has a tufted weave, which means that the rug maker uses a "tufting gun" to push the yarns through the backing. When the rug design is fully piled, it is removed from the frame and a scrim fabric is glued to the back of the rug. The scrim backing helps to hold the fiber pile in its place.
Wool is the most commonly used natural fiber in rug production, and it is made from the fibers from sheep. It has its advantages and disadvantages, like any material. Wool rugs tend to shed initially, especially within the first month, and then they subside after a while. Wool is extraordinarily resilient and takes dyes very well. It also has excellent longevity. Wool does require more maintenance than synthetic fibers, and when wet, it can emit an animal-like odor. With simple maintenance and upkeep, wool should last a long time.
Please let us know if you have any other questions.

I recently ordered this rug from a local store, but they said they couldn't deliver it for the next three months. I then found it here on plushrugs.com, and was promised shipping by the following week. I quickly cancelled my order with the store and placed an order here. the delivery was shipped on time with no hassle. I will be shopping here again. This rug is in my office at work now and I'm very impressed with it.
