I appreciate a good looking home. I especially like going to my parent’s home to visit. My folks have spent a lot of time and money on their home to make it look really great. My father is a bit of a genius when it comes to home improvement. For the longest time, my mother has wanted a bigger kitchen. It is a three bedroom home, but whoever built the house had forgotten to add a little space to the kitchen. Now it looks amazing. My father had to knock out a wall and he did most of the work.
I was very impressed by this. Not only did he push the wall back, but he also did a lot of the electrical work and built the foundation I don’t know how he does it. It has taken him years to learn how to do these things, but if you were to look at it, you would think that it was done by professionals. I am really proud of him, and my mother is ecstatic. He even installed 2 ovens for my mother because she likes to cook so much. This is fine with me because I love her cooking.
They also added some new furniture and new carpet and it looks like a completely different house from the one that I grew up in. When I first returned home this year, I did not even recognize it. It was great. I wish I had the skills to do these things. One thing that they added was an Aurora rug. I thought this would be kind of expensive and I was a little concerned, but this was actually a cheap area rug. My mom was able to get a cheap area rug because she found it online.
